The Women of Irish Heritage Jersey Shore Scholarship will be awarded to a High School Senior who plans to further his or her education. The applicant must be the child, grandchild, niece, nephew, grandniece or grandnephew of an active member (dues paid). The Scholarship reflects our commitment to education and to the future of our youth. The criterion for the Scholarship is the completion of an original essay written by the student titled "What My Irish Heritage Means To Me". The essay must be a minimum of 350 words but not to exceed 650 words. The essay must be accompanied by an application as a cover sheet. Applications can be requested via E-Mail using the button at the left or can be obtained from Eileen Herbert, Chairperson. Applicants are not to include their name on the essay. The Chairperson will identify each essay by number for review by the judges. |
